  413. <p>idldepend is a task that (re)generates Java sources to be
  414. created from CORBA/IDL files.</p>
  415. <p>It parses the IDL file and determines the Java files that
  416. must be generated, taking in account the modifications that
  417. can happen due to command line parameters. If any of the Java
  418. files are missing or older than the source IDL specification,
  419. it launches the specified compiler. The compilers of Orbacus,
  420. Jacorb, OpenORB, Orbix2k and Sun'JDK distributions are
  421. supported.</p>
  422. <p>To speed up the process and avoid unnecesary re-parsing, it
  423. keeps the dependencies in intermediate files. This task does
  424. not launch the javac compiler as well, that is, its output are
  425. Java files and not the final bytecode.</p>
